Hello All,
Hope you are well.
Quick question- I don't think you can but will ask here anyway.
I accidentally posted in private feedback for a stay in the public review and vice versa- can this be reversed, have asked Airbnb about this and no response. They said they will respond within 5 mins and it took 1 hour + and just to get an acknowlegement message and no further acknowledgement since.
Response times with customer services
I know they essentially let go of their CS several months into lockdown happening etc but has it been a bit ridiculous- imagine in serious situations? I'm NOT upset with the workers as I know how it is to cover several people's workload which I imagine this to be but seriously, a more proactive approach is needed for this.
Thanks anyway!
Yadira
@Yadira22 From what I've seen the only way to get Airbnb to do anything about the review is to remove it altogether. It cannot be changed/edited in any form. But it can be deleted.
I just looked at the review. I don't think it's worrisome,.You simply addressed the host personally, where most reviews address the general public.
Yes but I specifically explained this and asked if ok before booking. Was transparent from the beginning, so should be ok. The host agreed to it, so I booked it but you are right, the system should be set up as to allow for third party bookings similar to when companies book for their employees. 🙂
@Yadira22 Only kidding, of course; I have no doubt that you would do things in a responsible way.
Fortunately the review you left was one that any host would be proud to display publicly. As the author, you aren't generally allowed to edit a review after it's published; all you can do is have it removed. Given the choice, I'm sure the host would rather leave it up.
@Anonymous thought as much. Just happy I did not write something too embarassing in. the private review. Anyway, stay safe! 🙂
@Yadira22 Has the guest reviewed you yet? You have 2 days to edit your review after it is written if they have not submitted a review of you:
@Emilia42 both reviews have been published already, so impossible to edit it from my end. Was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if Airbnb has helped at all. As mentioned above, have contact them but their response time has gone from solved within hours, to barely acknowledged within hours. Thank you anyway 🙂

@Yadira22 And you're right, it will take countless hours to get in touch with them. So how much time do you want to spend?
or waste 😁
