About refund policy

Hi, the refund policy of the condo that I'm interested in is "Free cancellation for 48 hours", but the host told us fully refund for 5 days cancellation before move in. Is it trustable? Though there's not state in the description.

The 48 hours cancellation option belongs to the "firm" and "strict" cancellation policies.

And not to the "moderate" cancellation policy (refund if cancelled more then 5 days before check-in)

BTW All cancellation options are mentioned in the listing, that is what counts, not what the host is saying !

@Susanna316  The cancellation policy isn't "Free refund if cancelled within 48 hours".

Cancellation policies are Strict, Firm, Long Term, Moderate, or Flexible. 

You need to read the exact terms of the cancellation policy a host has, including the fine print. 

It sounds like this host has the Moderate policy in place.
