Instant Booking by guests who don’t read the Rules

Hi Everybody,

I have a quick question regarding Instant Booking. 

When we first joined Airbnb last year, we turned on the Instant booking at the constant AI suggestion.  We soon found out that potential guests fall in love with the photos, don’t bother to read the Rules and proceed to book anyway. 

We then realized that canceling such reservations negatively impacted our “allowed” cancelation rate which is extremely low to begin with at 1% …

Is it possible to go back and have these cancelations removed? Needless to say we will never turn IB on again for this reason.

@Don-And-Emily0 simple answer is no you cannot get cancellations removed. The error it appears you made is cancelling the reservations when, if the guest hadn't read the listing correctly, it was the guests responsibility to cancel.

I wish Airbnb would give the pros and the cons of turning on Instant Booking upfront, instead of us having to learn the hard way.
