Hello everyone! ๐
Welcome to the Community Center! ๐ I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling๐ฒ, playing footballโฝ, and travelling๐ . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : ๐ I was born in Gujarat, India ๐ฎ๐ณ , and shifted to Toronto, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ last year! ๐ท I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. ๐ When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia ๐จ๐ด and currently living in British Columbia, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance ๐) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries ๐ and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking ๐ฒ and hiking ๐.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist ๐ฟ and like to minimise my impact on the planet ๐ as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming ๐ yoga on the beach ๐งโ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! ๐
@Elisa : I was born in Italy ๐ฎ๐น and as a lover of unique experiencesโfrom exploring the streets of Rome๐ฎ๐น , Paris ๐ซ๐ท, and Toronto ๐จ๐ฆ to appreciating timeless art and cuisineโI'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain ๐ช๐ธ, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto๐จ๐ฆ this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey โ๏ธ. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports โฝ๏ธ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. ๐ฅ
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Good afternoon, Iโm Iniko from New Orleans in the U.S.
My place is located in New Orleans, a highly cultural city in America with delicious foods and all kinds of entertainment
Hi!
I am Mariya . I am in Raleigh NC and just listed my first property - a townhouse near downtown! I am getting overwhelmed at the amount of work it takes to set up. Furniture and big things are easy but then the small things that add personal touch to a place.. that's what's keeping me up. I would appreciate any insights..specially your fears as you entered this space for the first time. I am getting ready to host for the first time (next week!) and want to cover anything that could possibly go wrong. Would appreciate any advice!
Hi All! I am new to hosting, beginning is a bit scary, but it's going ok so far! I am from Ann Arbor, MI and our rental is in South Boardman, MI (near Traverse City). I've picked up lots of pointers on the Airnbnb Community - much appreciated! Glad to join!
Hello Bhumika and to the Community forum group,
My name is Alisa. We are here is a small town in Ky called Elkton. A sweet little city just outside of Clarksville TN and only 1 hr. away from Nashville. This property was owned by my great grandparents and passed down to all those before me, and I am the fourth generation to live here. An historic little place sitting on about 4 acres, my granddaddy built a 5 car garage with a barn like upstairs for storage. My husband and I didn't need all this storage and we do have a large family, so it seemed a no brainer to upfit the upstairs for living space for their visits (sleeps 8). As it will sit empty for most of the time we felt joining the Airbnb family was the way to go! We have started off with a bang and super surprised due to the size of this town, however there is lots of history around here for ppl to enjoy! We love the thought of providing a place for ppl to stay either for visiting families in the area, to get the countryside vibe, or a stop to going somewhere else, no hotels or motels available here so it certainly feels like it fills a void. Looking forward to finding out great tips and suggestions on how to do this and become a superhost!
Hey there @Alisa569, it's sweet that the property is still within your family after generations. We had our childhood home for about 40 years before we sold it off, so I understand that the property has so much sentimental value ๐ It's great that you want to share such a special space with guests ๐
Sounds like a great location! Your guests will have plenty of things to do ๐๐ฝ
Thanks so much Sofia! We are excited to begin our journey with Airbnb and getting the opportunity to meet new people and share our little slice of heaven.
Alisa

Hi everyone, my name is Jasmine and I am from Michigan. I am a 25 years old mother of 1๏ธโฃ. Iโve done air bnb before but kinda took a pause on it to focus on real estate and get more information in regard to air bnb but Iโm looking into different properties to host again outside of my own private home. Iโm also looking into collaborating with someone and become a co host. I love doing things like this and thank you for allowing me to share in this community center.
