Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Hello All,

My name is Trevor. My wife Jenny and I have been host for a little over 4 years now and love ensuring our guests have an amazing time while in Playa Hermosa, Guancaste, Costa Rica which is where our property is located.  As hosts we recognize that for a lot of travelers taking a trip there might only happen once in a lifetime so we try to be as helpful as possible. I look forward to being more involved with the community cafe and all that it has to offer.

Hello @Elisa ,

I had spent a long time in mortgage sales so my approach was the same as that.  Eliminate any issues before they become a problem.  Past that just be as helpful as possible, keep the list of rules short, and always respond right away. 

In general I always just use the app on my phone so I didn't even realize this was here.  I'm interested in seeing about new ways of helping raise money for charities with my villa.  I'm currently doing a giveaway for a free week in Costa Rica. Wanted to see if there are any better ways than just social media posts.

ドキドキしながら毎回レビューを確認するのが続いていたので、早くスーパーホストのなれて良かったです。

共同ホストと言ってもお願いして入ってみることをさせてもらっただけでした。メールのやり取りが重要なんだということが分かっただけです。

それから単独ホストになってからは、分からないことだらけで試行錯誤の連続です。

特にここに来てアルゴリズムをとらえきれなくなってしまい、予約が入らない日が増えて来ていることが、現在の重要課題です。

I was always nervous checking the reviews every time, so I'm glad I became a Superhost so quickly.

As a co-host, I only got permission to join after asking for it. All I learned was that email communication is important.

Since becoming a sole host, I've been constantly experimenting and learning from my mistakes. My

biggest challenge right now is that I can't quite grasp the algorithm, and I'm having more and more days with no bookings.
