Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Wow @Nicola3311 how do you juggle having two listings in different places?
I bet you have plenty of wisdom to share with the community 😊
Hi I'm Amelia, from Vancouver, Canada. I've been a host for two years and my property is in Whistler (ski resort/mountain biking/hiking) - busy year round!
Hi @Amelia422, I hope to go skiing one day but I'm a bit of a scaredy cat 😂 it just seems a bit too dangerous for me 😅 silly question, but do you ski regularly since the resort is on your doorstep? 😁
Hi Sophia, I'm not a skier either, but my husband and sons are! However, Whistler is a year-round resort, with great hiking and mountain-biking (among many other attractions) in the spring, summer and fall.
Hello, dear ones! I am Antje, I live in Weimar, a very famous little town in Germany. I am a "superhost newbie" and I’m happy to be part of this community! I think I am a bit of an exception as I rent out my private apartment. Many of my friends declare me frivolous as all my personal belongings are accessible to guests. However, I have a deep basic trust in the people who live in my apartment and have never been disappointed. On the contrary! As I always welcome them personally and always communicate to them that I am placing my refuge in their hands with confidence, this creates an interpersonal relationship that has already given me wonderful encounters. A warm greeting to all of you and may many more of these wonderful, enriching experiences await us!
Antje
Hi @Antje146, Congratulations on becoming a Superhost 🎉
I appreciate how trusting you are with your Guests, it's really lovely to hear that 😊
I hope you share your experiences with the wider community!
Hi everyone!
I'm Tamara from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I like to travel and I am a new host and also new to the platform. Regardless, feel free to reach out to me with any help you may need about Buenos Aires or Argentina. Kind regards!
Hi @Tamara856, Welcome to the CC! 🎉
I hope you share your experiences being a new host with the wider community 😊
Hi everyone, I am Steven from Colombia, and new to Hosting. I tried to join my local Club in Pereira, but nothing so far on the map, so I applied to lead a community to grow and thrive together. Any and all tips on leading a local community of hosts would be appreciated.

Hi @Steven1672, that's brilliant! Best of luck with leading the Local Host Club 😊. Feel free to create a conversation asking questions you have https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/forums/postpage/choose-node/true
I'm sure many fellow Hosts will have lots of advice to share!
Greetings from North Idaho!
I'm so excited to now be considered a Superhost! We had our first season last Summer and it was super fun hosting out of towners at our little preservation apple orchard glamping stay! I love being a part of a community that caters to those out living life to the fullest while adventuring the world. Here's to a busy and prosperous 2024!
