I’m looking for a host that will allow a larger sized party to happen on their property. I completely understand respecting property and that of respecting neighbors, but if you have a property available that is more secluded from other houses, I would love to book with you!
Hi @Nasira4
Many hosts strictly forbid parties due to Airbnb’s policy against unauthorized parties, risks of property damage or neighbor complaints and noise ordinances or local laws.
Maybe try to filter your search and look for listings where you get the entire property to avoid disturbing neighbors or other guests. Message the host directly and
be transparent. Say what you’re planning (size, hours, activities, noise expectations), and ask if it fits their house rules.
Perhaps a community center, a church social hall, retreat center or another sort of facility that rents party space might have the facility setup to make this easy for you. For example, our town's community center, Grange and senior center all rent large spaces with commercial kitchens and sufficient bathrooms, plumbing, parking, etc. They also have commercial licenses to host these events. With a private house such as you are asking about there is not likely the type of facilities that a commercial space has, and there may also be issues with insurance, plumbing and/or limited number of guests. For example, even though we have huge acreage and no immediate neighbors, our county ordinance forbids events, live music, all open flames, and limits the number of persons and vehicles.
Your local Chamber of Commerce is likely to be able to recommend a place suitable for your celebration.
Best of luck to you.
@Nasira4 @Hi, how big a space do you need? What is the occasion? I do allow respectful celebrations at my place including a BBQ
