Hi all,
We're at our wits end and would be grateful for any suggestions here. We needed to update our cottage's STR license with the City of Seattle, which we did. AirBnB had sent an email informing us that they were changing the listing to a minimum of 30 days (no prior warning, btw) until we updated the license. We immediately did so. Both Seattle and AirBnB have since verified that everything is now correct (AirBnB, in fact, sent us two emails confirming this).
After two weeks, though, we *still* cannot reset the minimum stay to anything less than 30 nights (we had it at 3 nights). We've tried logging out and back in, emptying the cache, etc, and have confirmed that the issue is not on our end. We have emailed, texted, or talked to probably 8 different AirBnB support folks. But no one seems a) authorized to do anything or b) willing or able to do anything. Several times, the support folks have kicked it over to the tech desk, and then they have either closed the case and told us it's been resolved when it hasn't, or we haven't heard any response at all.
Any advice for avoiding the run-around and actually getting this resolved? Is there a specific number to help elevate this issue? Right now, we're considering moving to a different listing platform due to AirBnB's seeming indifference toward resolving this.
Many thanks for any tips.
Best, Bryn
Hi Brynn63, we are in Seattle too and theexact same thing just happened to us. Our license had expired and the city moved us from STR to LTR. update our license immediately, paid the fee, printer our current license, notified the city of our new licesne and now a month later still not updated and can only host LTr of 30 days of longer. Absolutely no help from Airbnb. this is so maddening. We have been hosting for 4 years without any problem and this last year has been so awful with Airbnb giving us the run around. did you guys get you issue fixed?? Seems like no one is chiming in here?!?!?!
I am having the exact same issue in Seattle. Exactly the same! Has anyone gotten anywhere??
I’ve seen this happen before, when Airbnb flags a license issue, the 30-day minimum often stays locked until a manual backend reset by Trust & Safety, not regular support. It helps to reference local compliance docs and escalate with proof*
