HOST CANCELLED on us (11/17) 7 days prior to our Family Vacation 11/24-11/28. We booked 7 airline tickets for family from NY AND we even received our CONFIRMATION/ITINERARY email confirmation# HMMF8A8XKS for Address 927 79th Street NW Bradenton FL. Yesterday 11/17 my husband received an EMAIL from AirBnb giving him a cancellation refund.....no explanation.....nothing! So needless to say, I of course want to give a REVIEW for the HOST, but that is not possible! Very upset about this and this is not professional at all for a HOST to behave--inconsiderate! I will pursue this further until we get closure for the HOSTS actions/behavior!
@Linda3447 Do a search on this forum. There is a thread about Evolve- panned by both guests and hosts who've been screwed over by them.
It's really best to stay away from booking places run by these big property management companies. (I don't even call them"hosts") Individual hosts who manage their own places seldom do things like this, as we get penalties for cancelling, while Airbnb turns a blind eye to these big companies' treatment of guests because they bring in so much revenue.
You'll be wasting your time looking for "closure". Your refund was the only closure you will get from either Evolve or Airbnb. Maybe you can post a warning on Trip Advisor or Evolve's review site.
I hope you can find another place for your family to stay.

@Linda3447 Have you contacted Airbnb to get a discount coupon for your stay and any assistance in finding a new place? Other than that, there isn't much you can do, Airbnb can't prevent a host from cancelling, although they do levy a fine and block the calendar. But, no, you can't give a review unless the cancellation was the day of arrival.

I'm sorry you had this experience. There are many negative reviews of Evolve by hosts and guests. I'm not sure why hosts use them.,
To cancel without explanation is appalling.
What did the host/Evolve say when you queried this with them @Linda3447
Get on the phone to Airbnb ask them for help in finding alternative accommodation. They will also offer you a 10% credit in addition to a refund to put towards your new booking.
If you search online for Evolve reviews you can leave them a review about using their services.
