unilateral calendar blocking
I recently rejected a booking inquiry for genuine reasons, it was outside the boundaries of my listing requirements, then AIRBNB unilaterally blocked out these dates so I could not take other inquiries for the same dates. This seems extremely unfair. Is there a way to avoid this- or do the dates open up automatically again after a few days? Is there a way to directly contact airbnb to challenge such action? thanks rob

When it was about an inquiry the calender will not be blocked.it is not even mandatory to decline, just answer the question.
But when it is a booking requests , dates can be blocked under cirtain circumstances. (fe: you decline because of "dates not available"). But then you can make the dates manually available again.

BTW when you cancel a reservation, dates will be blocked and remain blocked.
