Techno Dummy needs help!

How do I get rid of the pesky little number on the App symbol? No unread messages and the numbers keep adding up.

Did you manage to get rid of the numbers?

It might be a result of potentially an unread message (you might have unknowingly skipped) or an unseen notification. Have you viewed all the pop-ups?

All msgs had been read.

I uninstalled app. Reinstalled app and BINGO! Little number gone. However,  very next msg and it started again. 

I then tried clicking the app icon and tapping the short msg . This removed each number one at a time. I hope this holds.
