Austin Host Needed Near Downtown Area

Is there anyone who could provide a space to rent for someone from the Ukraine?  He can pay a modest amount per month,—however, $3,800 is out of reach for him.

He needs something for 1-3 months near Riverside area,—however, it could be any area that is safe and “walkable” as he doesn’t have a car.  

I’m in San Antonio, so am not much help.

I realize SXSW is here and everyone is most likely full at the moment, but if someone knows of a place coming up, please let me know.

What happened to the sponsor who supported their visa?

Thanks for your reply, Helen.  He has been paying his own way, so I’m not sure about a sponsor?  He is here for work and is gainfully employed.
