Bookings drying up

We have gone from nearly being fully booked to only a couple of bookings the last month.

I wonder if people are not travelling to New Zealand...

@Stephanie1933 I thought the borders had just opened up. Perhaps the problem is people leaving New Zealand after being unable to do so for the last 2 years.

We are concerned that last years staycationers in the UK will head abroad this summer.

@Mike-And-Jane0 some New Zealanders still travelling but not getting many International guests. We still have strict covid rules at the border so that could be putting people off.

It sounds like the flush home market has depleted as locals are now choosing to travel abroad now that the borders are open.

Not many people are traveling abroad yet as our rules to come back to NZ are strict. Could be high inflation and coming into winter is putting people off...

Tricky times ahead due to so many foolish mistakes made by countries now under very stupid regimes. It will take a bit longer to finally get back to 'normal', the new version of it that is.
