I have hosted an Airbnb in Portland, OR for many years and try to follow all the rules the city has thrown at me. One of the rules is that we are not supposed to rent for more than 30 days. However, I noticed that if I do a search for a 35-day stay in Portland, tons of listings pop up. I don't have an issue with Portland hosts renting for more than 30 days, but do they realize that if they book someone for more than 30 days, that person suddenly has tenant rights? Such as eviction protection? So, an Airbnb guest staying 31 days can legally decide not to leave. I wonder if this is the same in other cities and if this is something Airbnb needs to warn hosts about.
