New Host – Listing Unlisted Without Notice, Conflicting Support Answers

New Host – Listing Unlisted Without Notice, Conflicting Support Answers

Hello Community,

I’m hoping someone here can help or share similar experiences.
I’m a new host who started hosting on June 11th this year. So far, I’ve completed 4 stays and received all 5-star reviews. I’ve worked extremely hard to provide great guest experiences and build my reputation as a new host.
However, my listing was suddenly unlisted without any prior notice. I’ve contacted Airbnb Support several times, but each time I’ve been given different and conflicting explanations:

  • One rep said there’s an AuthBridge verification issue.
  • Another claimed I deactivated the listing myself (I absolutely did not).
  • One said it was a technical glitch.
  • Another explained that the issue might be because my apartment was previously hosted by someone else, and although their old listing was removed, it may still exist in Airbnb’s backend and cause a duplicate flag.

For context, this apartment was previously hosted by someone else. We know them personally. It’s the same apartment, but under new management and a new listing.
I’m extremely worried because I already have 5 future reservations under my current listing. If my listing is permanently removed, I’ll lose the chance to earn more 5-star reviews, which is critical for me as a new host.
I do not want to lose this listing at any cost.
    I’ve written to Airbnb asking:

    • What exactly is the reason for the unlisting?
    • How can I resolve it and get my listing reinstated as quickly as possible?
Has anyone else faced something similar? Any advice on how to get Airbnb to escalate this or resolve it faster?

Thanks so much for any help or suggestions!

      Regards,
      Supriyaa and Anbu Selvan.

What previous reviews did the listing have? Sometimes if they were low Airbnb may think a duplicate listing has been set up to hide poor reviews .

airbnb can take a few weeks to look into things I'm afraid

have you provided them with proof of ownership ?

please don't rely just on Airbnb for bookings when there are lots of other marketing channels you can use .
