No payout - Absolutely frustrated that I am at the mercy of Airbnb and getting NO HELP

have a guest that checked for a 30-day stay (JUST 30 days - no month to month beyond that so should have received the payout the next day).  According to my insights/earnings I should have received my payout on 11/9/23.  I have NEVER not received a payout and don't understand what the issue is but will be in jeopardy of losing my property if I can't make the mortgage payment on it. 

 

I am working on direct booking my property for this very reason, so I and my payments are not at the mercy of a site that is holding them for no reason and then giving me NO HELP when it's not their property.  This property belonged to my mother and I am simply trying to hold on to it after her death but Airbnb is going to jeopardize that.  

 

Hosts utilize Airbnb in good faith and then provide absolutely no recourse or avenue for assistance when it is needed, urgently needed.  Over the past 10 days I have called and messaged CS more times than I can count, been told endlessly that it is being escalated only to receive a message 2 days later out of the blue from an "ambassador" asking how they can assist me?  Shouldn't they know about my case?  Why are they reaching out to me out of the blue as if I messaged them again?  If I receive anything from Airbnb it should be a message updating me on my "escalated" case, not a message asking what they can do for me as if they have no idea of my issue.  I've received several "case closed" on my message threads because each time I call or message it creates a whole new thread.  

 

I'm really at the end of my rope and unsure where to turn next, what to do or what the issue even is but don't feel as though I will be getting my payout anytime soon.   Very, very frustrating and even more reason to try to kick my direct booking site into high gear.  It's unfortunate that Airbnb is the way they are regarding hosts when the hosts are quite vital to the entire organization.  I suppose we are expendable

Frustrating indeed!  So it sounds like you are NOT a new host so yes, if this was only a 30-day stay I believe you should have received the payment the day after checkin. New Hosts who accept a 30day booking can have their payout delayed. I would quote the article below when sending your next message thread and include a screen shot of the reservation and transaction history showing the missing payment (maybe you have already done that?)

Have you changed anything with your payout information? Did you change bank information or go to the debit card options for payments?  I know the payment shows "processing" for a few days until it actually hits a regular bank account.

 

Perhaps @Paula or @Breanna could forward this to the correct Airbnb Team?

Hi and thanks for the response. And no, I am not a new host. Have been hosting since July 2022 with no issues of payments in the past. 

i have not changed anything with my banking institution and have reached out to them as well. There is nothing they can do on their end as no payout has been initiated from Airbnb for the bank to “research”. i.e. no tracing number etc. 

 

I have also reached out to @Paula with no response and @Bhumika who did respond that she was forwarding my issue to someone but I don’t expect much from that. 

I have not quoted the article or sent a screenshot of my reservation as I have told them this on every message but will try sending them an actual picture showing I should have received it on 11/9/23. 

quite maddening to say the least and absolutely disgusted to be treated this way as a host. 

Another thought....any cancellations you have initiated as a Host or other Payment Resolutions that may cause them to deduct that amount from this payout?

No. None. I appreciate your help. I am grasping at straws too and have no idea why I am not receiving this payment. Definitely don’t want to accept anymore reservations with Airbnb at this point.
