Setting my custom nightly fee

First, thank you all for helping. You guys are great. 

I am new..we are listing our home for the DNC in Milwaukee and for the Ryder Cup as well. Each event has a different per night fee. I can't figure out how to change them. When I set my base price it changes everything and when i do custom on the calendar, it changes everything as well.

Go into your  calendar and just set the price you want for relevant nights. @Katie864 

By the way as a new host do look at Airbnb Help - it's great for all the basics around managing your listing.

Thank you Helen. I actually have done both.....read the help pages and done what you said. However each date is showing up at the same price. Do you think I should not set a "base price" in set up?

I do not have smart pricing set up, but then must include the Base price, which I am entering as my lowest price. After that, I am going to the calendar, and setting the dates with the specific prices for each window of time. After I am done, I go back in to confirm and it sets all the dates at the lowest (base) price. It doesn't keep them customized. That is where I am confused. Thank you again for your help, as I really think I am doing it right, but it's not showing up that way publicly.
