Superhost Status & Co-Hosting

Superhost Status & Co-Hosting

Hello,

We are a property management company and we’ve just received Superhost status.

If we are co-hosts for a client who is not a Superhost, what will guests see on the listing? Does our Superhost status and reviews influence the performance of the client’s property in any way?

We would really appreciate some clarification on this!

Thank you.

Congratulations on achieving Superhost status, that is a huge win for your company!

This is a good question, and the good news is that your status still helps, just indirectly. The Superhost badge will not appear on the client's listing, as that badge is only awarded to the Primary Host (the client) themselves.

However, when guests look at the property details and click on the Co-Host (your company) profile, your Superhost badge and your high reviews are displayed there. This acts as a major stamp of trust and quality control for the client's listing. More importantly, your operational performance absolutely benefits the client's listing. Your management metrics like fast response time and low cancellation rate are what help the client's property rank higher in search results, giving them better visibility.

Feel free to ask me any questions about how your management account metrics impact the client's listing performance. Do you plan to use one central Co-Host account for the company or a separate one for each client?

I can see you have a range of listings some at 4.6 which Airbnb sees as poorly performing listings and some 5 star. @A7-Estates-Ltd0

I would focus on addressing issues that are leading to the poorer reviews .

your superhost status won't help listings with poorer reviews .

Hi there!

Great question — this comes up a lot in co-hosting.

When you co-host a listing for someone who isn’t a Superhost, your Superhost badge does not appear on their listing. Airbnb only displays the status of the primary host, not the co-host.

However, your experience, messaging style, response rate, and review history as a co-host absolutely help the performance of the listing. Guests feel the difference through the communication, the organization, and the overall hosting quality — even if the badge isn’t visible.

So while the listing won’t show “Superhost,” your hosting standards still influence:

  • Faster response times
  • Better guest experience
  • Smoother operations
  • Higher likelihood of 5-star reviews

Hope that helps clear it up! If you ever want to compare notes on co-hosting setups, I’m always happy to share what’s been working for me too.
