UK based but US tax being withheld

An old topic judged on previous listings but new to me.

I am British based but do host in the US (timeshare weeks).

I read form W 8Ben is required. 

What’s the best advice to get my withheld tax amounts refunded?

One of our Hosts @Lorna170 always advises Hosts to reach out to experienced Accountants when it comes to tax-related queries. Have you tried getting in touch with an Accountant in this regard? What did they say?

My own accountant doesn’t deal with US tax affairs but I think I’ve found one who specialises in this area who can help. Thank you.
