Additional Charges

Hiya!  Does Airbnb calculate in my additional charge for over 4 guests? (I have a query for 5 guests). Is my fee of R250 per day per additional guest or just a once off charge? Urgent! I have to respond to the perspective guest! Thanks!

@Lisa1699 As long as the guest enters the correct number and you have entered an extra guest fee in your settings, Airbnb will do the calculation.

If the guest doesn't enter the correct number, you can reply by either asking them to correct the number or by sending a reservation change which they would then need to accept.

It sounds like the guest has entered the correct number, so you should be good to go.

@Ann72 Thanks heaps, Ann!     I was caught out with only my 2nd guest (said 2, arrived with 5, did a runner during the 1st night & cancelled the 7 nights reservation next day!)    I state "dog friendly" & my current guests arrived with 5 dogs!  I changed my "dog friendly" to limit of 2!    I'm still learning!

@Ann72too true - people are ... people!!!  I was hoping to avoid "issues" with long terrm tenants by switching one cottage to Airbnb!!!    My friend Kate does Airbnb in Glasgow (UK) - her advice - keep smiling, they're leaving soon!  I reckon on that basis, I'm gonna have a lot of buttons!
