Recently a guest brought a dog (unbeknownst to us) and it pee'd EVERYWHERE, marking it's new territory. We have our basic cleaning fee but we need to steam clean the carpets now. We don't want to hire a professional company and would rather do it ourselves but Airbnb is asking for a reciept for the cleaning to charge the guests. If we do it ourselves I feel like we should be paid for our time and material. Any recommendations on how to do this?
Previously, a guest broke a lock and all we recieved was the cost of the replacement lock since I installed it myself but again I feel like I should be able to charge for additional labor that the guest cost me.
AirBnB only take receipts from professional cleaners - your input is a cost (or risk!) of doing business.
And why not get the professionals to do it and put your feet up - I am sure as well that their cleaning equipment is more commercial and effective
Because I'd rather make $35 an hour and have clean carpets then pay someone else and have clean carpets. Also I have a feeling Airbnb isn't going to cover the full cost since it make no sense in having a professional come and clean just the few spots so we're going to have the whole place cleaned if we go that route.
I don't belive Airbnb covers any damages or extra costs caused by pets. If you will be refunded please let us know
