Additional charges for cleaning

Could someone please advise me.

A host is asking me for more money for cleaning fees, we disagree with their claim and accusations. We have already used the resolution center for discussion of this issue, but as we refuse to pay how do I escalate this to airbnb so that we can ask someone arbitrary to oversee the issue.

Thanks for any advice!

I see that you have been both host (briefly) and guest, @Gabby7, so I assume you are familiar with how this platform works.  If you have already used the Resolution Ctr, it is my understanding that whatever Air BNB decides is final.  That is part of your agreement with Air BNB when you use it.  Gabby, your profile reviews probably do not reflect you well.  You have an option to respond to the auto cancellation notice on your former listing and the negative host review.  You might consider doing this.  Just a thought.

Thanks Linda, I actually hardly use Airbnb so I'm not very familiar.

How do I know the decision of Airbnb in the resolution center? So far I have just responded to the host and we have had discussion back and forth so there has been no comment from Airbnb.

As for reviews thank you I will make a response I didnt know that I could do that!

I misunderstood your posting, @Gabby7.  I thought you had already used the Resolution Center.  The process is that the host must communicate with you about the issue and if you agree about damages, the security deposit, if there is one, is used.  If you communicated that you do not agree to having caused damage, the host initiates a process through the Resolution Center.  The host must provide evidence of damage and proof of cost.  Air BNB then decides if the damages were like caused by the guest and the cost of repair are reasonable.  Air BNB notifies both the guest and host of their decision.

If not resolved, the issue will be escalated after a certain amount of time.
