Just remember to change it back to 2 guests after you get confirmation that the fee went through.

@LaTanya4

The additional guest fee is calculated for guests up to your max. number of guests. It useless to setup this fee for a third guest if your maximum is two guests ! Change the listing to 3 guests maximum if you want to accommodate three guests.

Best regards,

Emiel

Thanks

Hi other hosts.   My problem is that I have four bedrooms in the house and can accommodate up to 8 people which is the maximum listed on my insurance, ie double guests equals 4 bedrooms.   I had some guests recently who were requesting that I reconsider my strict cancellation policy stating that their other friends were staying in an airbnb in our village at the same time and their host had stated they could cancel a week before and she was happy with this.   My refusal to lower my strict policy is that if they cancelled a couple of weeks before it would make it very difficult for me to re-advertise to get my house filled and explained this to them.    We later found out that their friends had booked a 2 bedroom apartment, they were a family of 2 adults and 3 children and we realised that the children were staying over at our house most of the time.   We know this by the fact that cushions were laid out on the floor, they had gone in to the cupboard and taken out extra duvets and pillows.    The family staying in our house were 2 adults and 2 children.    By the other family staying at the house did this put me in a precarious situation if they had come back and said that the house was for 8 people and they had not broken any rules.     i accepted the booking on the proviso that there would only be 2 adults and 2 children.  how does one get around this situation as this is the second time this season it has happened to us whereby because we have a hot tub, large patio, bar-b-que area which obviously the other guests do not have we seem to be accommodating people who are not in my mind legally booked in.   Any suggestions please
