AirBnB Experience Block booking before maximum number of guests are reached

Hi there

I would like to host an experience in my hometown in South Africa. It will basically be a photoshoot for families, couples or single persons at some of my town's most beautiful outdoor spots. The idea is to have a photoshoot with guests while they also enjoy specific places in the outdoors, such as a nature reserve, the beach, etc.

What I would like to know is whether there is a way to limit the booking to only have one group, but with as many guests in that group as they would like. Say for instances only one family can book, but that family can have anything between 2 and 10 members. Or one couple books and they would like to have a photoshoot on their own.

If I limit the number of guests to 10, it means that various groups can book until the maximum number has been reached. Is there a way to block the bookings if, for instance, one family with five members book, even though the maximum number of guests has not been reached?

I would love some feedback!

Thank you very much!

Michiel

@Stephanie Thanks for mentioning me.  @Michiel24  I also hosted a photographer experience and do as what you plan to do, make it personal and private.

What you want to do is something airbnb call “ private group “ It was 2 way to do,

1) Automatic- In edit experience page, You can setup a private group and set the price to 1 person. If they have more number of guest like 2 or more a guests will pay the higher amount.

2) Manual- in Calendar, You can secure number of guest after you got booked. This is what I do now.

Hi there @Michiel24 ,

Excellent to have you onboard! Sounds like you are planning a really interesting Experience for Guests to get involved with! I wonder if @Nutth0 might be able to give you some pointers, as one of top Experiences Hosts here on the CC?

Thanks,

Stephanie

Hi @Stephanie and @Nutth0

Thank you so much for your responses! I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the info @Nutth0! It's really very helfpful.

My Experience is currently being reviewed by AirBnB. I'm looking forward to get going and I will ask if I'm uncertain about anything!

Thank you!

Best,

Michiel

Hi @Stephanie !

Thank you for your message and sorry for only replying now. Everything went really well with setting up the experience! AirBnB asked that I make two minor adjustments, and everything has been up and running for about six weeks now. The only problem is that I don't get bookings. I've had one so far. Nothing else. I sure hope that more bookings start to come in.

Kind regards

Michiel

Hi @Michiel24

Glad to hear it's all set up! Why don't you share the listing in the Hosting board and see if you can get some advice on improving it with a view to get those bookings in!

Thanks

Hi @Stephanie

Thank you! That's a good idea. I tried to have a look at it now, but I can't seem to find the Hosting board. Or at least, I'm not sure if what I found is what you are referring to. Can you perhaps share a link?

Kind regards

Michiel
