I work remotely as a web developer and live in Airbnb's part-time. Recently while working out of Miami, Airbnb was unable to verify my credit card or any other payment method I tried. This was after already using Airbnb for two weeks prior at two different places with the same card (and for 6 months full-time last year).
I contacted my bank and there was no issue. Every payment method I tried is currently working.
From then on I've experienced a kick the can down the road support system where anyone competent I encountered was powerless and Airbnb: Trust and Safety sent one canned response about not being able to open the file I sent them and then never responded to any email again.
You would think someone spending $1,000+/ week would be able to get better customer service than being told "We've upgraded your ticket to the highest level" every 24 hours and then receiving no response.
