Airbnb Price Tips

I sometimes get "Price Tips" from Airbnb via email regarding certain dates on my calendar. They state that people were looking at my listing for a specific date, but ended up booking with a listing that was $10 (or some other $$ amount) cheaper per night. Airbnb suggests I should lower my price in order to obtain more bookings. I find these emails to be very frustrating because it doesn't say what listing they ended up booking. Airbnb just assumes that price was the deciding factor.  Maybe the booked listing was closer to a desired area, had an amenity mine lacks,  or some other arbitrary quality other than price  Furthermore, I feel my prices are already competitive for my area and refuse to devalue my listing my lowering my prices. I find these emails to be very frustrating because they don't provide info on how I could improve my listing to attract more bookings, just the suggestion to lower the price which is overall not helpful. I feel like these kinds of suggestions could trigger a 'race to the bottom' where all listings become devalued due to constant price lowering.

How do you guys handle these emails? Do you ever lower your prices as Airbnb suggests?
