People hear this and help!! Airbnb's integrity is now VERY QUESTIONABLE. They failed to pay me over $4000 (according to my calculations) for my hosting services. Some hosting fees were due me since March 2019. Most July, August, September 2019 payments have not been paid. Despite all my incurred expenses from hosting Airbnb guests and hard works. According to their policies payments are released to hosts 24-48 hours after guests check-in. These their actions are very weird. It is faith killing. I'm losing faith in their words and policies now unless they redeem their image. Hopefully, they are not on the verge of declaring BANKRUPTCY and put hosts in financial problem. Hosts are supposed to be paid promptly why dilly-dallying? Why playing with my emotions?
Though their agents were polite, payout departments have been stalling me, huge discrepancies in their payments calculations and true amount owed to me. I haven't been paid for months for my hard works. Very frustrating and annoying. I have bills to pay and deadlines to meet. They failed to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve my nonpayment issues.
Yet under my Payout history online, Airbnb is exaggerating the amount paid to me, muddling up guests' payments owed me, shortchanging, removing names of past guests which I have hosted from the list. Different things were told to me at different times by different agents when I called to complain. INCONSISTENCIES in statements. Saying things far from truth and facts. They were Claiming to have deposited the money into my bank accounts, PayPal account. WHICH IS TOTAL FALSE. I called my bank from another phone to listen to Airbnb lies and exaggerations. It was very embarrassing when my bank representative outrightly denied any money being deposited by Worldpay/Airbnb for those dates in question. Why should a big company like Airbnb be lying like a devil, claiming to have paid when in fact it was totally false? When I became firm in demanding to be paid they started to make excuses such as: "oh, your bank info is incorrect", "oh, re-upload your payout info and we will pay you", "O.k make PayPal your default payout method and we will pay". All of these I have done. Yet they have not paid me till now apart from the $182.80, plus $88.07 I saw in my email few minutes ago.
Where is my huge amount due to me?
I have bills e.g mortgage, property insurance and taxes, renovations expenses, electricity, hosting expenses etc. to pay. Without being paid I cannot pay my mortgage etc. I don't want to lose my property to the bank or become incapable to pay workers who renovated my house, or be buried in credit card debts just because I trusted and do business with Airbnb. People in this community what can I do?
I am sick and tired of Airbnb games and lack of integrity. Are there other hosts in the same shoes or similar to mine? Let us launch a cooperate lawsuit against Airbnb. To claim our rights and money. Moreover, they refused to give me adequate support when a scammer guest, Mileug, failed to pay me for his stay extensions from July 8-21, 2019. Almost $400. Yet this guest refused other guests from coming in to share the big room with him. Which was very contrary to our verbal and texts messages agreements. Furthermore, though this Mileug guest's credit card payments kept failing, he was able to show a payment proof/receipts from the Airbnb website to me and police officers. Whom I called to intervene and take him out of my house (which they couldn't) when I realized that this guest is a polite scammer who knew the weakness of Airbnb's website. To use automatic messages to his advantage. Till now Airbnb has not paid me for Mileug's failed payments even though their insurance policy stated that hosts shall be compensated for injuries sustained through hosting. To confuse and shortchange me Airbnb has muddled up names of guests, their total payments etc, trying to evade paying me. Not knowing that I take private notes in my personal diaries without relying on whatever is written about my hosting on their website. How can we protest these bad manners of Airbnb. Agreement is agreement, Airbnb should and must live up to their agreements with hosts.
$4,000! That's a lot of money! Three months is a long time not to get paid. I hope airbnb resolves your issues quickly.
Thank you Natalie655 for your response. I will never wait that long before I cry out loud and put my foot down to demand my payouts be released if Airbnb ever withholds my payout again. Finally, to date, I have been able to recover $3,844.77 from Airbnb.after I cried out loud. I was so fed-up with being pushed around that I was forced to involved Better Business Bureau U.S.A who acted very fast by contacting Airbnb office. Only then a sane and knowledgeable case manager was assigned to my case and $3,844.71 was released into my Paypal account as of this morning. That was a big relief because I quickly used the money to pay some of my credit cards pending debt. I have learnt my lesson that delay is dangerous. The situation wasted my time, stressed me out and deprived me of good nights sleep. Honestly.
