Airbnb refunding security deposits

I am a host and one of my guests has not had her security deposit refunded by Airbnb.  I would like her to receive a refund of her security deposit but don't know how to help her.  Does Airbnb automatically refund security deposits if there is no claim?  And how long does this take?  Please help!

When booking with airbnb the security deposit is not charged, so there is nothing to refund.  It only goes into action if there is an actual claim - better read up the procedures in the help section to learn more about airbnb security deposit.

How do you actully get somone to help you if there is an actual claim? I have requested relief through the Host Guarantee program 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing despite at least 6 calls of inquiry.

I was actually charged my security deposit and NOT refunded money. I have my receipt and bank statement to prove. How do I get my refund?

When is it collected by Air bnb?

It does not show up on the reservation or the intinerary.

Do you send them a separte request.

Is it paid back by Air bnb.?

I cannot for the life of me figure this out, I am frustrated by the lack of response by them.

They say the email ticket has been dealt with and nothing is on it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a renter who was charged $300 over the agreed amount on her credit card so it appears like Airbnb did charge her for it. What I did was sent her $300 but I am not sure what form that will take either back on the renters card or a check to the renter.

Any one know why that would have happened? So weird. the security deposit process with airbnb is so weird. They should charge and just auto refund unless something is claimed like other rental sites.

Did the agreed amount include AirBnB fees?

As has been mentioned AirBnb do not collect a Security Deposit, it is a theoretical charge against the method they paid with.
