Airbnb should add 1 hour notification as reminder of checkout time?!

I rent my car on Turo, and the app sends a notification to both host and guest 1 hour before checkout to remind both parties.

It would be AMAZING if Airbnb added this feature (for the guest!).

Unless they already have it? I have not been a guest on Airbnb for about 5 months, but when I was, I did not receive any notification to remind me of checkout (even though I don't need a reminder).

I say this because my current guest is 1 hour over his checkout time (yes I was going to go down and talk to him, but he decided to shower 30mins after checkout.....

I know most guests do not need reminders, but it would be nice for those who can't tell time 🙂

Thoughts?

I don't need reminders.

We need that guest may tick arrival/departure time upon the booking request and both of us will know about it.

Would be great that if the guest put Check-in/Check-out time outside of stated in the listing with the host approval or block the time field or at least font color change or something like that.

hello @Kaylee18

You could always speak to your guest, the day before they check out, ask them their plans for the day of departure or ask them how they are going for time with check out if you see them on the day.

It's nice where possible to actually have a face to face conversation.

I think you will find guests also appreciate it rather than be seen as perhaps in some cases simply making money from them.

I've had interesting feedback in person from guests who have stayed in other ABB's where they have said they didn't really feel welcome due to the lack of conversation from hosts.

For some people you may be the only person they have spoken to or seen who has a friendly face whilst they away from their usual surrounds.

Maybe try it that way and see how it works, and when you do, place yourself in the guests shoes.

All the best

@Kaylee18 @Helen427 @Eugene78  I hope this guest is reviewed and given private feedback as someone who checked out late without agreement.

@Mike-And-Helen0  He sure was! 🙂
