Alter reservation

Good Day Airbnb Family,

A guest checked in and now wants to alter the reservation by checking out earlier. He sent a request but I have not accepted as I am not sure how Airbnb refunds the guest since payout has been issued to us already. Does anybody know if we will hav eto refund guest or what is the policy when guest alters reservation after checking in?
