We have a 2 nights minimum booking and Airbnb blockes, unasked, an extra available date bedore each booking. For some reason you only see this when you search for your own propery in travel on a mobile device. On the calendar in letting and on a laptop these dates are free. Airbnb says there is noting wrong. But there is. Better check this when you have a minimum stay of 2 or more nights.
Did you set a 1 day preparation time in your settings ?
Also: 2 nights booking is 3 days, where the last day is check-out, and not neccesary to be available, unless you want new guest on that day. Also searching available dates in the booking form will shift the availibility shown when first searching argument is the check-out date.
best regards,
Emiel
Hi Emiel, ni we did not. We asked support and it’s actualy an idea of someone at Airbnb to block these dates. Why ????? Nobody knows and support told me it’s stupid but they can not do enything about it.
I had a client book and then contact me to inform me that they were too young to meet the age requirement in my rules. I cancelled their res, they were refunded and now I'm out $50.00 and the dates are blocked. What can I do now to free the dates? What should I have done? Why am I zinged for the actions of a kid?
@Eddy69 you should never ever cancel reservations, those are the penalties and you won't be able to become a Superhost for a year. Also there is an automated posting in your reviews that you have canceled. It was their mistake and they should have canceled. Now you could contact Airbnb and see what could be done about the dates. Also, never accept cancelation requests from guests, that will also mean that you canceled.
