Bad accommodation

I have just returned from trip a large part of which (25 days) was spent in a really bad apartment in Miami in Florida.

My host - fair play - tried his best to make good and I appreciate that - but the apartment had serious issues around security, utlilities, natutral light, ventilation and decor (it is in urgent need of upgrading).

I feel it is important to warn others that the place has issues that need addressing.

I also think a token refund would be appropriate.

It seems to be very difficult if not oblique to raise such problems on this site!

Any thoughts or advice very welcome.

@Gerard40  On the Air BNB platform there are two ways to address your concerns about the listing you stayed in as a guest.  First, you can write a review in which you accurately describe the problems you encountered.  The review will be posted on the listing site.  The host may respond to your review however.  If you believe that the listing on Air BNB was not an accurate representation of the space, you can also flag the profile of the host with your complaint.  The flag is under the profile name.

That you completed your stay rather than asking Air BNB to relocate you, may not support the idea of a refund unless your host agrees to it.

Thanks for your input and advice.

I have posted a polite review that highlights what I consider the inherent problems with the accomodation I experienced.

I did not want to offend the host as he had tried (tool little too late in reality) to rectify some of my concerns.

I mailed him my thoughts at the same time so he is very aware that I have posted.

I think that is all I can do for now.

If it serves to warn other guests of the problems that would be a good result.
