Booked a reservation. Listing no longer exists?

Hello,

I recently booked a listing, due to its location. The host had some good reviews. However, after I booked the resevation, the location on the map changed from being 2 blocks away from Staples Center to a 3-minute drive away. The host also didn't send the actual address of the place until i had asked for it. I didn't want to cancel the reservation and still having to pay the fees so I just beared with it.

Now, two weeks later. The listing no longer exists after receving very bad reviews. I can go to the listing from my itinerary but no one can search for it. It also doesn't show up on the host's profile either. People cannot even open the links to the listing. I am a girl going by myself and this sounds like a very bad situation about to happen. Is there anyway to cancel without losing the fees? I understand that safety is important so I should cancel but I also don't want to lose money on a sketchy listing.

Please help!

Jennie, sorry to hear that, you should contact Airbnb customer service and see if they can find what's going on with the listing, do not cancel reservation because like you said, you might won't get the fee back.

Hi @Jennie8,

some hosts do deactivate their listing because they are moving to a new place (or other reasons), so no new guest can search for this listing, but still they have some confirmed bookings and do manage to host their "last" guests before moving out.

I moved to a new place End December 32 years ago and so I had my last guest mid december, after this the listing has been shut down and my new listing for the new place has been set up then in February...

However, in your case I would be a bit scared, but don't cancel yourself - contact airbnb and they will then help you to find an adequate lodging in the same area.

Correction of typo: I moved 2 years ago (not 32 years ago)
