Booked for one and more people seams to be staying?

Hi, the whole appartment is booked for one person and it looks like there are staying more than one person, what can I do? Does something like this happen often?

@Sirpa4 Unfortunately, it's a fairly common problem. I would message the guest through the Airbnb app and ask them how many people are staying, then get in touch with Airbnb and have them modify the reservation if they're staying a few nights. Unfortunately, once the guest has checked in you can no longer do it yourself.

I will try contacting through mail. Hopefully person will update reservation.

@Sirpa4 The person who's staying can't modify it either: Airbnb has to do it. If you have it in writing through the Airbnb app that they have extra people, it should be easier to get Airbnb to make the change. Do you charge more for extra people?

Yes I am charging more of extra people, cause it is the whole appartment. I did send a message and met a person already. She couldn´t do any changes for reservation and was surprise that she should have informed about number of people. She is paying me now throuhg the bank one night extra of one extra adult, so she got discount on one night and kids are usually free anyway.
Someone from Spain most likely has experienced the same cause the guest said she booked just one person in Spain even though the whole family stayed there.

Maybe I will check out how the booking looks like. What I remember is that it clearle asks number of people who are staying...

@Sirpa4 yes it happens often. I would suggest setting up an outside camera and disclosing it, it will discourage extra guests hopefully. Also text them as soon as they book to confirm the number of guests and let them know that their reservation will be canceled and they will be denied entrance in case of them bringing extra people.
