Two great years as a host, haven't run across this and maybe it's nothing. Or need a way to avoid in the future. Primary guest booked two nights for her and her boyfriend, said he would not join her until the second night. She arrives today, and just notified me that she has 'talked a friend' into coming with her for the first night, who would then leave tomorrow, and that her boyfriend would still be joining her for the second. Pricing is 'per night for two guests' and I always ask who they are bringing, etc.
Would this slight 'change of guest' bother any of you all out there? I feel a tad off about it, especially last minute. Thanks for any input.
It wouldn't bother me, @Deb75 . People get talking to friends, and one finally commits last-minute to come along. No one plans anything. Kids nowadays. 🙂
If you have already asked the name of the boyfriend, just say you will need the name of the first-night friend, as per your policy.
Good idea, makes me feel better...my cabin is on my secluded farm where I live, and I'm alone here so perhaps a bit over sensitive. Thanks !
I would be upset/annoyed if a guest did that . It is rude and the least she could have done was ask you, rather than tell you.
The entitled guest. Don't you just love em?
