Booking

I have had a guest book for one night and then they have changed their mind and booked another night, but instead of extending the original booking, they have created a new booking for next night. Will we both be charged more as a result of this?. Should I get her to cancel the second booking and extend the first one?. If not, she'll also be effectively 'checking out' and 'checking in' on the same day.....

Or should I just leave it and not worry?

we had similar situation, guest wanted to stay on an extra day, we have a cleaning fee, we simply refunded the guest the cleaning fee amount for one of the dates.  It seemed the simplest and most transparent solution once she had already booked the extra day.

Thanks. I don't have a cleaning fee, but I guess I'll just leave it as it is. It might confuse the guest trying to change the booking.

@Brian1082  One additional thing is that your guest and you will have two reviews to write. One for the first booking and one for the extra day booking.

That is true and I'm aware of that.
