Broken vacuum

I'm just after some advice... my last guest seemed to have sucked up some sort of liquid with my vacuum cleaner... he has been the perfect guest (apart from that) but he denies that he has done so. It's his word against mine/my cleaning lady...

now I don't know what to do? I don't want to fully accuse him and be rude but I also have a broken vacuum cleaner, which needs to be fixed

You have no proof that he broke it so Airbnb will probably not take up your case. Unfortunately this may just be the cost of doing business.
