my experience with a Superhost guest. He came through an Instant Book for a one night stay. Basically, when the guest was asked for an extra payment due to an extra service. He never read the full description of the apartment. The
guest was furious to put it mildly at having to pay the sum in question. I have since received threatening and very bullying text messages from this guest, to the effect that if I dont forego this charge, he is going to give me a very bad review in respect of the apartment and also as me a host. Yesterday, I posted all the threatening text messages to Airbnb, including the Resolution Centre, who have been amazing and immediately paid me the sum due.
This afternoon I have received the guest review. I am absolutely devastated, to say the least. It is has portrayed me in an extremely bad light. This guest for some reason has been out to get at me. Why I just dont know. I am an old aged pensioner 70 years old on Saturday. I am an Irish woman renowned for our warmth and friendliness the world over. I have almost 300 reviews now and they are mostly very very good?
I have contacted Airbnb to ask them to remove this review. I am deeply concerned that this could ruin me. I rely heavily on this income to supplement my small state pension. If Airbnb refuse to remove this review, it goes against all their policies on bullying. This will leave an open door for all bad guests to get away with anything, knowing that Airbnb will back them. This is so so bad!
I would very much appreciate any comments on this matter.

@Geraldine60 You have evidence of extortion so I am pretty confident that they will remove it. But even if they don't, one bad review in 300 excellent ones won't destroy you for sure. I am sorry for your bad experience, I hope your guests in the future will be great!

@Geraldine60 It sounds like you've done all you can do by reporting the guest and sending airbnb the messages that suggest extortion, but I'd guess it can go either way in terms of whether or not they remove the review, my total speculation is that they will not due to the fairly unique idea of an early check out fee. However, you have a lot of great reviews so I wouldn't worry too much about it. In future, I'd make sure the early check out fee is something you put in your messages to guests and explain the reasoning for it to prevent any future misunderstandings.

If you put check in time is anytime after 4pm in your house rules, you cannot charge for arrival after 9 pm.
You had better changer check in time from 4 pm to 9 pm in your house rules. Then you can charge for arrival after 9 pm.

the guests I hosted was a group of 18-20 years old kids. I got report from building manager about their behaviour in pool area. When they left, they left my place dirty and messy. My cleaning team has to charge $20 extra cleaning fee. When I tried to confirm the situation with the guest, he got mad and crazy. And then he give me a one star review! He complained about dirty dish and pots in the cabinet. My cleaning tram worked for me for over 3 years and they worked in the building for about 30 years!

This is a new listing and because of COVID-19, we don’t have enough other review/booking to smooth out the bad affect from this remark.
AirBnB doesn’t care ! They only want to please the traveller, not the honest and innocent home hosts! It is very disappointing!
