Calling all - Experience hosts

Hi 

       I have a few questions about hosting a cooking experience in my city. I have been thinking for a while to host cooking experience. Is it safe to invite guests in your backyard where I  have an outdoor kitchen and a large deck area with a nice garden? But I feel worried about inviting strangers in my house. So my other question is where and how the others are doing this?

I am planning an experience that is mostly outdoors, and I think this feels relatively safe. I was considering including my house as a stop because it's set up like an antique museum, but it would be too far from the other destinations I would want to bring them to. I would personally be more comfortable with this through Airbnb than other options, since a third party being involved does offer some protection. Of course there is some risk as well.
