Can I still receive from AIrbnb without an TaxID like ITIN as an foreign?
Hi,
so, I'm living on Miami for 2 months now, and current working on my ITIN. I wish to start being a host, but I want to do everything on the right way. This document take some weeks to be done though. I just saw some questions related with ITIN here on the community, and what I got is that, I can still host without it, but I will need to pay 30% of my income.
IT's not as simple as 30% of your income from Airbnb. First, you have to understand if you can legally run an Airbnb in your town. Some towns will not issue permits for STR to foreign nationals working in the US. Second, your ITIN is for tax purposes only. However, Airbnb as a US company, they're required to collect certain taxpayer information from hosts who appear to have US-sourced income. You may qualify under the Form W-8BEN.
