I had a guest not follow the house rules and then complain when I requested she pay the extra fee for using all the beds and not cleaning to the standard specified. She then so upset that I was not happy that I offered to put it down to a misunderstanding and cancel the extra charge. Then I didnt hear back for days and was being prompted to write a review. So I left a 3 star review and detailed my frustrations online. Eventually I heard from her, with a long explanation and apology. I now feel I was a little too hard on her and promised I would try and amend or update her review.
Is there any way of doing this? Even if I can leave an extra comment under the review I left.
Thanks
Greer
Even though I am on Instant book, I find it frustrating when guests arrive with a dog(s). They have not given the '24 hour' notification and I'm at a loss how to deal with it. Airbnb fined me $66.00 for not accepting a 10 hour notice that 2 dogs were on their way.
How do I say it any plainer than what's on my page?
@Nicky4 - you cancelled a reservation already accepted and confirmed. This is different and why Airbnb fined you. If the guest instant booked and did not follow your rules, you need to contact Airbnb prior to cancelling.

Your house rules look like they were just changed "as of yesterday". You need to set up specific, attainable rules for dog owners if you are going to take them as guests on your property. Looks like you want them to provide vaccination records. Are they going to have to show you these documents? Do they need to provide them in advance?
Unsolicited advice: There are several details about your property in the House Rules that have no bearing on how guests are expected to act that you might consider moving to your listing description.
@Greer1 - you cannot change a review after it has been posted. In the moment, without her explanations and apologies, it was accurate. The fact that it took her days to respond and didn't follow the house rules seem that a 3-star is not so unreasonable.
Hello @Greer1,
You can't edit a review you left if the 48 hour time limit has expired or if the guest has also left their review.
The review system is there to help others get a feel for guests and hosts. Your experience of her was that she didn't follow the house rules and complained when asked for compensation for your extra work. This should be in her review.
Whatever her, possibly acceptable, reasons she shouldn't bring her problems with her to cause problems for hosts.
She didn't respond for days, didn't have to pay extra and contacted you only when she saw that there were consequences for her behaviour.
Steve.
