our host has asked us to cancel our reservation. i have tried contacting him both by phone and email, but no reply. just an email saying sorry, you must cancel your reservation. what should i do?
@Cathal1 - Do not do this. The host is trying to avoid the penalties that come with a Host cancellation. Contact Airbnb immediately to resolve this and start looking for another property to book.
@Cathal1, as @Alice-and-Jeff0 has mentioned, if the host wants to cancel the reservation, then the host must do the cancellation.
Do not let the host coerce / bully / push you into doing the cancellation.
And yes, contact AirBnB and get them to help you.
