I have a problem with what my calendar is showing. I had a guest who decided they wanted to change from 3 days to 2 single nights with a space in the middle, and I said No, so they cancelled. WHY does my calendar show "Cancelled by YOU"??? I didn't cancel, and I refuse to accept any liability regarding Super Host. Also, why isn't it just showing available? Just because these jerks didn't like it doesn't mean somebody else won't.
I believe you may have received a message going somthing like "the guest would like you to cancel" - if you agree to this message it is treated as a host cancellation.
When guests cancel there is a list of choices why - one of them is "my host needs to cancel". You will then receive a message that you will have to agree to.
Yes, this was frustrating. There is no airbnb support listed anywhere I can find it now. This was the only thing that seemed close to it. I finally found a telephone support for superhosts in my old email that I've now saved to my phone. I can give that out on request. They solved the problem, which is that now guests can request that the host cancel. That's a messed up "feature" that I didn't expect at all when I was trying to resolve a guest who wanted to split their 3-day reservation into 2 1-day reservations with a separate 1-day reservation to fill in the middle. I turned them down and they requested that >I< cancel the reservation, which risked my superhost status and blocked those dates. Airbnb phone support was excellent as usual.
