Cancellation

Please help.

A family booked my place through automatic booking which overlapped a night that was blocked on my calendar. The family want to cancel because otherwise they'd have to find another place for the last night (the night that was blocked). When I tried to cancel I was told that it would mean that no one else could book during that period. However another family want to book my place during this period (of course excluding the blocked night) What do I do?
