Cancellation

Hello there someone booked my villa yesterday for the 12 of june for 2 weeks (that is in 9 days). Today he ask me to cancel it because its a bit far from the beach. He ask me to cancel the rezervation so he wont loose his money. Do i pay a penalty if i cancel it? Please help me!

@Polina24 Do NOT cancel. The guest wants to cancel he cancels on his end, If you get a request from AirBnB to cancel, do not accept it DECLINE it. This is a loophole to put the cancellation back on the host. If you cancel the booking you will be penalized. The guest just doesn't want to lose his service fee's and 50% of his booking since you have a strict policy. Again do not cancel and decline any requests to.

Ok then he will loose his money right? If i cancel what do i loose?

@Polina24 Your days will be blocked by AirBnB so you will not be able to rent/book those two weeks at all. You will not be able to become a SuperHost for 1 year and you'll be fined $50. It's a total lose/lose to you if you cancel. Plus your listing will drop in the rankings, so you will get fewer bookings.

@Polina24You will also get a public notice on your listing that you cancelled. Don't do it!

@Lisa723 I forgot that one. @Polina24 You do nothing, this is all on the guest. If he doesn't cancel on his own in two days he gets nothing back. There is nothing for you to do in this case, he booked he needs to cancel.

@Polina24 Also in your listing summary you say King size bed, but in the area that lists the beds it shows as Queen size. You need to fix that before someone says something about no King size bed was available or listing is incorrect.
