Hello. I had a couple book my room for 2 weeks, they booked it back in December. They have now cancelled at the last minute. I got part payment in line with the refund policy. The couple asked Airbnb for a full refund as they said it wa extenuating circumstances. And Airbnb has given it the full refund. I think it’s so unfair. I would like your thoughts on this. Airbnb can decide to a full refund due to extenuating circumstances.(Which must be proofed by the guests). It is mentioned in the HELP, but also in the Terms of Service. I understand it feels like unfair, as the risk of cancellation is put on the hosts shoulders. Guest should have (or Airbnb should provide) insurrance for that.
