Cancelling a guest reservation

Hi there,
I have accepted a guest to stay at my place for New Year's Eve from 29 dec to 3 January 2017 which is sill in 9 months from now.

I just realised that soon I will need may need to Sub rent my place permanently and therefore I won't be able to rent my place by the end of decemeber since I need to sub rent my apartment from perhaps April, May 2016

I need to know if I need to pay any penalties fee if I decide to cancel the reservation...

Thanks

Hi @Dante1,

With the booking being so far out, you will not pay penalties but you will have penalties.  Your calendar will be blocked but this does not seem to be a problem since you cannot rent it anyway.

It's not exactly clear what the question is. The penalites are clearly explained in the help area.

Are you refering to other penalties? It sounds like you are getting out of the Airbnb business, so it may not be as much of a concern as it would be for ongoing hosts.
