Cancelling and requesting a discount

After requesting and agreeing to a discount via msg I booked a apartment but thought by booking the host needed to approve and send me a an offur

but it went through for full amount

what do i do now

The host said hell pay me the cash in person but he doesnt receive the full amount from airbnb

how do i cancell and re request the rate

any help would be appreciated

You may be dealing with a new host who does not understand how the platform works, @Ricky-Lee0.  He can send you a Special Offer before the booking is confirmed.  If he didn't do that before the booking, he can send money through Air BNB with a refund option.  At no time is there to be cash according to the rules of Air BNB.
