Cancelling future reservations due to Relocation

Hello all!

I have been airbnbing our guest room and have recently opened up for the entire house since we are having to relocate for work purposes. There are three reservations between Sept and Nov. We have decided to rent out the main house and leave just a back room open to airbnb. How do I avoid paying cancellation on this and not be red flagged to keep using airbnb?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We love airbnb and would love this to be as smooth as possible to keep our superhost status too!

Thanks, Tatania

Hello @Tatania0 ,

Hope you are well.

My suggestion would be to message your future guests and explain the situation to them ASAP. Mentioning that you would of course provide them a full refund and any help or assistance they may need as to make this transition as easy as possible...

For the most part people are super helpful, as long as they are made to feel as if they were considered in the decision and not an after thought.

Good luck with this and the relocation!

have a beautiful day,

Yadira 🙂

I appreicate your feedback and have sent messages to the three parties. I hope this will be fine in the end without having to cancel.

Thanks and we are excited for our move...heading to Spain!
