Cancelling

I am a host and have just accepted a reservation for 2 days time. I then immediately received a message to say there was a payment problem and that the guest has been notified and has 24hrs to address this. If this payment issue is not resolved in 24hrs, it leaves me very little time to try and get a replacement booking, so I would prefer to cancel and show availability on my calendar asap. But will I be penalised for cancelling in such circumstances?

Do not cancel!!! Your calendar will be blocked and you will be fined. It will also appear on your reviews and no super host. It does not seem fair to block your calendar for 24 hours for a booking two days away. You might want to call airbnb.

PS: When I have had pending payment messages, they have been cleared up and the booking confirmed.

We are a super host but we are having problems answering my messages and repling . The system states there is error issuses
